Toby Glick, President
Toby Glick, MS, is the founder and president of ParentConfidante Special Needs Consulting. Toby is a School Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the Westchester schools. She is also a former CPSE Chairperson as well as a long time advocate for special needs children and their parents.
ParentConfidante evolved from Toby's experience as both a psychologist and CSE and CPSE Chairperson. She found that when a child was first diagnosed with special needs, parents were often overwhelmed, worried and alone. Often, they were bombarded by contradictory advice from special needs evaluators, family and friends and didn't know where to turn. She also found that even when children were receiving services, their parents were concerned that they weren't getting maximum benefit or what they really needed.
Toby realized that the parents of special needs children needed an unbiased, behind-the-scenes advocate who would answer all of their questions. ParentConfidante Special Needs Consulting is designed to help children meet their maximum potential and to help parents at every step of the way.

During ten years of practice, Emily was often frustrated by her inability to refer families with special needs to skilled, empathetic professionals who could really solve families' problems and help special needs children to succeed. Meeting Toby and seeing how much her work helped children improve and parents relax was a revelation. Emily was thrilled to join Toby as a partner in 2009.
