Toby Glick, MS, is the founder and president of ParentConfidante School Success Consulting, a service that helps children succeed.

Toby works with families from the New York City vicinity (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Riverdale, Westchester and New Jersey) as well as with families from across the United States and abroad who are relocating to this area. 

Toby is a mother, grandmother, and school psychologist with over 30 years of experience in New York City, Westchester, and New Jersey schools, both private and public. She is an expert in helping children coping with academic and social challenges, as well as those with diagnosed special needs.  Toby motivates children and gives them the tools to improve academically and socially, from preschool to high school.

ParentConfidante evolved from Toby's experience as both a psychologist and CSE and CPSE Chairperson. Toby knows that when children struggle, parents often feel overwhelmed, confused and isolated as they go through the process of finding help.  Parents can be bombarded by contradictory advice from school administrators, doctors, teachers, family and friends.

Toby acts as the family's expert, unbiased, behind-the-scenes advocate, helping parents
find the right schools and services and always being there through often challenging times.  Drawing upon her vast network of contacts and resources, Toby directs families to the schools and people who can really make a difference in a child’s life and potential.

Emily Glickman, Partner

Emily Glickman is an educational consultant and writer based in New York. She runs Abacus Guide Educational Consulting (www.abacusguide.com), a well-known firm that helps New York City families with admission to private school.

During ten years of practice, Emily was often frustrated by her inability to refer families with struggling children to skilled, empathetic professionals who could really solve families' problems and help kids succeed.  Meeting Toby and seeing how much her work helped children improve and parents relax was a revelation.  Emily was thrilled to join Toby as a partner in 2009.
